We are very fortunate to have our own Club House
Thanks to the generousity of the management of ERPM, we have the use of this building at no cost to us. It has a reception room (with a fire place), a large room in which our bar is situated (also with a fire place), a large hall in which our meetings and fellowship functions are held, a kitchen, and 2 large store rooms. The Club House is used by ourselves, our Rotaract Club, and our Probus Club. The reception room is decorated with Rotaract banners and awards, the bar is decorated with Rotary awards, and the meeting hall is decorated with Rotary banners from around the world.
The building is on ERPM property and dates from around the turn of the century, a fairly old building by South African Standards. It has had many uses over the years, including part of the assay office (which is still next door to us on the left of the sketch), and a first aid station. I am in the process of investigating the history of the building and all relevant details will be made available on this page when I have finished.
