Every year, on the Monday closest to the 23rd of February, the Rotary Club of Boksburg Lake celebrates the Anniversary of Rotary International & Rotary International's World Understanding and Peace Day with an International Dinner at a restaurant in the city instead of the regular meeting at their club house. The Guest of Honour and Keynote Speaker is usually a dignitary of international standing. The District Governor and his DG Ann are also Guests of Honour.
This year, the Guest of Honour and Keynote Speaker was the Consul General of Greece, His Excellency Mr Haris Dafaranos, and besides inviting District Governor Alan Barrable & DG Ann Sue Barrable, we invited all the Past District Governors and their PDG Anns, and the two District Governors Nominee and their DGN Anns as well. We were very honoured that five PDG's and both DGN's accepted our invitation and graced us with their company on the night. DG Representative Mendy Weiner and his Ann Vivienne were also present, as were our Rotaract President Fionna Pittuck, and our Interact President Sandra Willis. We were joined by two Rotarians from our sister club, the Rotary Club of Boksburg, Harry Jenkins and Paul Padkos.

International Dinner falls under the auspices of the
International Services Committee. With the Guest of Honour and

and International Dinner Convenor).
